A standout feature of this facility is its roof-mounted solar panel installation, which serves a dual purpose — generating clean energy for the operation while also acting as a thermal barrier against the intense Western Cape summer heat. The solar panels effectively shade the roof surface, significantly reducing the temperature inside the warehouse and lowering the facility's long-term energy costs. It is a practical example of how thoughtful building design and renewable energy integration can work together to deliver real operational value.
